Poster presentations at the 2012 conference
A highlight in this year's conference will be the space and time dedicated to poster presentations. Presenting a poster is different to giving a talk or presenting a paper. The aim of the poster is to give an outline of an idea, research or piece of work that tells a story and stimulates interest and conversation. It is a great way for people to exchange ideas.
We have developed an electronic template to help with constructing the poster–however, it is only a suggestion and posters can be arranged in many ways. Using the electronic template is a simple process and will allow presenters to arrange their information easily. The template and instructions can be found here.
Posters will be organised into groups of three, according to themes. Each group of three will have 45 minutes to present their poster, with each presentation lasting 15 minutes. Presentations will consist of 10 minutes of discussing the poster, followed by five minutes of question time.
To make your poster presentation submission, click here or visit Call for Papers.
Submissions for poster presentations will close 5pm, Friday 30 March 2012.
Australasian Journal of Early Childhood Research Symposium, Edith Cowan University Perth, 3 October 2012
'Leading the professionalisation of early childhood through research'
The Australasian Journal of Early Childhood (AJEC) is Australasia's foremost scholarly journal and the world's longest-running major journal within the early childhood field. AJEC welcomes participants from around the world to attend this important one day research symposium in Perth, Western Australia. This is a new symposium and AJEC invites postgraduate students, academics, practitioners and researchers at all levels to draw together with the goal of sharing research and forging research networks in Australasia and beyond.
Outcomes of the day:

- examine the nexus between research and professionalisation.
The day will consist of invited speakers and group discussions and will be focused on the development of research networks and relationships.
