Awards

Applications are now open for the highly regarded ECA Awards, including the Barbara Creaser Memorial Lecture, Barbara Creaser Young Advocate Award and the ECA Doctoral Thesis Award.

Centre tours are now on sale

A range of centre tours have been planned for delegates to make the most out of their conference experience. Tours can be booked online during the registration process—there are only a limited number of places available, so book now!

Centre Tour 1: Explore and discover children’s spaces

Join us on a day trip to Wollongong on the South Coast of New South Wales to visit a community-based, occasional care centre, community preschool and Australia’s only dedicated ‘children’s museum’: the Early Start Discovery Space.

Centre Tour 2: Early learning centres with ‘Exceeding NQS’ rating—Inner Western Sydney

This tour visits three inner-city early learning centres all rated as ‘Exceeding’ under the National Quality Framework. Each centre is unique in its pedagogy and reflects their local community.

Centre Tour 3: HESTA Award Winner—The Infants’ Home Ashfield

Visit The Infants’ Home, an award-winning provider of integrated early childhood education and care, early intervention and clinical health support services. The Infants’ Home is a unique chance to experience five different early education centres located in one large inner-city location.

Centre Tour 5: Early childhood city environments

Distinctive designs are highlighted throughout this walking tour of four unique inner-city Sydney childcare environments, with each making the most of the challenges and showcasing the benefits of their individual buildings.

Centre tour 6: Family day care centres

Join a full-day excursion to visit a family day care service and a range of educator homes within the Sydney basin area and the Blue Mountains.
