Conference Scholarships

Applications are now CLOSED

ECA is committed to supporting the diversity of individuals and organisations working to strengthen the well-being of young children.

Our National Conference is an important sector-development event that provides opportunities for networking, professional development and information-sharing. We recognise that some individuals and organisations may find it difficult to participate in the conference due to limited resources and/or long travel distances. ECA would like to encourage individuals to take up a Conference Scholarship to help promote participation and reduce barriers for delegates wishing to attend the 2024 ECA National Conference, ‘Realising the Vision: an integrated future for the early years’ .

Both in-person and virtual scholarships will be made available.

  • an in-person scholarship will cover the cost of a full conference in-person registration for three days plus remaining funds towards travel and accommodation.
  • a virtual scholarship will cover the cost of a fully virtual registration for three days.

Criteria

Conference scholarships will be allocated according to the following criteria:

  • individuals/small organisations working in regional, rural or remote locations;
  • practitioners supporting disadvantaged or at risk children;
  • Individuals who have experienced financial hardship as a result of natural disasters (bush fires, floods, COVID-19, etc.)

You must be prepared to attend the full 3 days of the conference, be available to meet your sponsor and have photos taken (either in-person of via Zoom) for later inclusion in media and promotion by both ECA and the sponsor, and provide feedback on the conference and the value of scholarships following the conference. Successful applicants’ details will be shared with their sponsors for feedback and interviews (name and basic contact details only).

Delegates attending ECA events in-person acknowledge that proof of vaccination or a valid exemption against COVID-19 may be required by various parties including venues, transport and accommodation providers.

How to apply:

Apply here

We will notify you by email of the outcome of your application and if successful the funds will be paid by direct deposit into your nominated bank account (in the name of the successful applicant or their service) after the Conference has concluded.
