Full conference delegates receive one ticket to the welcome reception with their registration. Additional tickets can be purchased for guests, concession and day delegates at $103.00 per person. Additional tickets can be purchased online during the conference registration process.

Welcome Reception theme

This evening is all about coming together and reconnecting with friends and colleagues in a relaxed setting, while enjoying a drink and a light nibble.

Dress for the night by incorporating something old and something new into your look. This could be a treasured favourite, a vintage-inspired accessory, a family heirloom, or a pre-loved find, paired with something contemporary, colourful or unexpected. Whether it’s a statement piece or a subtle detail, interpret the theme in a way that reflects your personal style. And while you’re looking the part, gather your friends and strike a pose at the photo booth—because a great outfit deserves to be remembered!

The Welcome Reception will be hosted in the exhibition hall and will be your first opportunity to meet this year’s exhibitors. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a taste of true Melbourne entertainment as you reconnect with colleagues, meet new people and celebrate the beginning of an exciting few days ahead.

Please note that the Welcome Reception is an adults-only event and children under the age of 18 will not be permitted to attend.

HESTA Early Childhood Education and Care Awards Dinner

The HESTA Early Childhood Education & Care Awards recognise the front-line educators and carers at the very heart of Australia’s early childhood education system.

Finalists will be recognised across the categories of Advancing Pedagogy & Practice, Individual Leadership and Outstanding Service at a dinner on Friday 2 October 2026. Open to all delegates, partners and guests, the Awards dinner will be a night of celebration, recognition and inspiration.

Dinner tickets include a three-course meal, drinks and entertainment. Seats are limited so be quick to secure your ticket today!

Farewell function

This is the final event for the 2026 ECA National Conference, join us for a farewell drink. Full conference delegates receive a complimentary ticket to attend the farewell reception.
